Brew Guide for Pour-over

Makes two 200ml (~7oz) cups

  • 22g coffee, ground medium-fine (slightly coarser than drip)
  • 400ml water for brewing
  • Additional water for pre-heating

Instructions

  1. Set empty pour-over filter basket on top of carafe. Preheat by pouring 200° F water through filter to eliminate paper taste. Discard water.
  2. Place grounds in moistened filter basket
  3. Heat fresh water in kettle to 200° F, tiny bubbles will start rising to the surface
  4. Pour 50g of water over the coffee, saturating all grounds
  5. Allow grounds to bloom for 30 seconds
  6. Slowly pour remaining 350g of hot water over the coffee for the next 2.5-3 minutes, keeping filter basket half filled with water while brewing
  7. Remove the filter after all water has been poured and drips have slowed
  8. Pour into cups and serve immediately

Enjoy!
