Lighter roasts bring out more of the natural flavors of a coffee's place of origin - climate, soil, elevation and other factors. They are still full-flavored with plenty of body.
I happened upon Index Coffee at the DMV chocolate and coffee expo in Chantilly Virginia in November 2025. The Ethiopian sidamo is excellent, I think I have found my new favorite dark roast!

I've found my ultimate summer drink, and it's this cold brew concentrate mixed with sparkling water! On a hot day, it's incredibly refreshing and hits just the right spot. The concentrate has such a rich, smooth flavor that stands up perfectly to the fizz. I genuinely wish more people would discover the magic of their coffee!

Just moved to the area and was on the hunt for some great whole bean coffee. Index doesn't disappoint! I've tried several of their samplers and have loved every purchase. Their cold brew concentrate is also fantastic. I am so glad I found a local roaster of such quality!

This is a great decaf coffee
This is a great decaf coffee. I can drink it black, which, to me, is a very good sign of a quality coffee.
