Ethiopia Sidamo Dark Roast
Ethiopia Sidamo Dark Roast
Roast Level: Dark Roast
Tasting Notes: Chocolate, Strawberry, Blueberry
We've roasted this full-bodied lot from the Sidamo region dark enough for a great bottom end while still retaining a natural sweetness. It makes an EXCELLENT shot of espresso with plenty of crema. It also pairs nicely with milk and sugar. We recommend this coffee for espresso, Aeropress, Moka Pot, and pour-overs, for anyone preferring a fine dark-roasted Ethiopian coffee.
Process: Natural
Varietal(s): Ethiopian Heirloom
Elevation: 1600-1800 MASL

The Ethiopia Sidamo Dark Roast is my go to purchase. When I'm stuck between all the other amazing roasts or I'm just short on time, I grad the Sidamo. It has great tasting notes with low acidity and can be brewed up any which way. My preferred method is in espresso. You can't go wrong with this one!
We tried their drip coffee at the Coffee Festival in DC and thought it was great! Strong but smooth and not bitter. Then we tried it at home as espresso and it pulls a great shot!
My go-to, makes great espresso. Smooth and bold
It was perfect, the natural chocolate flavor was just perfect. Easily the best Ethiopian Sidamo dark roast I got to try.
The shipping was quick and efficient but at the cost of $6.44. I just wish it was as efficient while it was free for within the US.
Furthermore, I would like to try out other coffee provided by other roasters but this one for sure, I would come back to every now and then.
I would not consider myself a coffee “lover”, but I’m certainly becoming one. It has become a part of my morning routine and you CANNOT go wrong with anything Index carries. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.
